    Modern Slavery Statement

    Introduction

As part of the digital marketing industry, the risks relating to modern slavery are not prominent. Still, Expert Wine Storage recognizes that it has a responsibility to take a robust approach to slavery and human trafficking.

Expert Wine Storage is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in its corporate activities and to ensuring that its supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking.

    Organisational Structure and Supply Chains

This statement covers the activities of Expert Wine Storage.

Expert Wine Storage is a leading retailer of luxury wine fridges and associate wine storage products.

Our key suppliers are UK wine fridge distributors. Modern forms of slavery are not prevalent in the industries in which these suppliers operate.

The organisation currently operates in the UK.

    Relevant Policies

Our policies reflect the values and ethical standing of the organization across all areas. It is signed off by our Director, Philip Thompson.

The organization operates the following policies that describe its approach to the identification of modern slavery risks and steps to be taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking in its operations:

    Whistleblowing Policy

The organization encourages all its workers, customers, and other business partners to report any concerns related to its direct activities or supply chains. This includes any circumstances that may increase the risk of slavery or human trafficking. Employees, customers, or others who have concerns can speak to their line manager if they have any concerns.

    Employee Handbook and Induction

Our Handbook clarifies to employees the actions and behavior expected of them when representing the organization. The organization strives to maintain the highest standards of employee conduct and ethical behavior when operating abroad and managing its supply chain.

New employees are given the handbook when they first join and made aware of how to identify signs of modern slavery and the next steps to take if they suspect it is taking place within our business or supply chain.

    Recruitment / Agency Workers Policy

The organisation uses only specified, reputable employment agencies to source labor and always verifies the practices of any new agency it is using before accepting workers from that agency.

    Due Diligence

The organisation undertakes due diligence when considering new suppliers and regularly reviews existing ones.

    Director Approval

This statement was approved by the organisation’s Director, who reviews and updates it annually.
