    About Shallow Wine Fridges

Shallow wine coolers offer ample capacities of from 20 bottles to over 120 bottles, providing ample space for a nice wine collection, and catering for all of your serving or ageing requirements.

Most shallow, short sized wine fridges are fitted with shelves that pull out effortlessly. In addition, these shallow wine cabinets are also available with single or dual temperature zones.

A dual zone wine cooler is the best option if you plan to store two different types of wine in one fridge (eg red and white wine), or if you want to store both beer and wine. That's because each of these beverages requires a different serving temperature.

Some shallow wine fridges are fitted with locks for extra security of expensive wine - ideal for serious wine lovers and long-term wine storage. You can choose between varying illumination modes of LED lighting, so your wines are presented in their best light.

We stock both compressor and thermoelectric cooling system wine coolers, from brands like Climadiff, Dunavox, and La Sommeliere. You can choose between either black or stainless steel wine fridges. You can also choose between a 2-year and 3-year warranty as well.

You can contact us to customise your fridge, for example reversing the door opening side, shelving number, and capacity. You can also contact us regarding the proper wine temperature for rose, sparkling wine, champagne, white wine, and red wine, and we'll be happy to help.

Installation of a Shallow Wine Refrigerator

Once the shallow wine fridge is delivered, it's recommended to follow the manufacturer's instructions for installation.

The majority of shallow drinks coolers can be used as freestanding (find all freestanding wine fridges here), so they need ample ventilation of 5-10cm around the sides and back, along with 30-50cm of free space above the unit.

Why Choose a Reduced Depth Vs a Normal One?

The main benefit of a reduced depth wine fridge is that it takes up less depth than a traditional fridge, and is therefore ideal for more unusual kitchen spaces, or enclosed areas that aren't the traditional depth of a kitchen cabinet.

The depth ranges from 400mm/40cm to 600mm/60cm, offering a range of sizes to meet your exact needs.

They're ideal for those who don't need to store a lot of bottles, with our range catering from 7 bottle capacity to 98 bottles.

If you need capacity for more bottles of wine, then visit our large wine fridge page. Due to the small depth, they require less energy consumption to maintain temperature control, and so will save you money on your energy bills when compared to larger fridges.

The energy rating varies from G Class to F Class so that you can make an informed decision on the environmental impact of your wine fridge.

We do have a few built in fridges, but none of the reduced depth range can be fully integrated into kitchen cabinetry.
