    600mm / 60cm Wine Fridges & Coolers

A 600mm wine fridge is designed to be installed in 60cm wide spaces. Shop for a 60cm wine cooler that can be installed into a under counter cavity or cupboard or can also be positioned freestanding.

One of the most popular types of built in wine fridge we offer, 600mm wide wine fridges come in various heights and depths, while most have an actual width of 595mm to allow for the door hinge to swing. 60cm wine coolers are compact in size but come with a range of features like dual temperature zones, telescopic pull-out shelving, winter systems for cold rooms and multiple lighting options.

    60cm Wine Fridges & Coolers

Whether you’re looking for a small-capacity, single-zone cooling unit to integrate into your kitchen, an under-counter wine fridge or a large bottle capacity unit for your garage, we will have a 60cm wine fridge that's right for you.

Key Features of 60cm Wine Coolers

Due to their larger width, 600mm models offer space and features that may not be available in narrower models such as a 500mm wine fridge.

600mm Wine Fridges Offer Precise Temperature Cooling

60cm wide wine fridges are available with single or dual compressor-cooled temperature zones.

    • Single Zone: These models keep your wine at one stable temperature between 5°C and 20°C.
    • Dual Zone: Chill two types of wines, such as red and white, at their ideal individual serving or storage temperatures. Usually, the top compartment of a unit is designed for red wines at 12°C to 20°C while the lower zone can be set to 5°C and 12°C, ideal for whites and sparkling wines. Here is a tall, dual-zone model we recommend: Swisscave WL455D.
    • Multi-Zone: Provide several types of wine (red, white, rose) with optimal temperature conditions, offering up to 6 different temperature zones within the same cooler.
    • Chill Drinks: Wine fridges typically cool down to 5°C, if you're looking to chill beer or sodas to ice-cold temperatures, a beer fridge like the mQuvée Beer Server 60, which can be set to 0°C may be better.

60cm Wine Fridge Wine Bottle & Drinks Capacity

Ideal for home use, our smaller 60cm wine coolers offer Bordeaux bottle capacities from 30 to 50 750ml bottles.

Slightly taller, medium-sized models, such as the Swisscave WLB360DF have capacities of 90 to 120 bottle capacities, finally, larger models offer anywhere from 120 to 300 bottle capacities - ideal for a fine wine collection stored in your home or commercial space.

    600mm Wide Wine Fridge Dimensions

These 60cm wide wine coolers range in size from 820 to 880mm high under counter units to taller 1200 to 1800mm high appliances. While the majority of products are suitable for building into cabinetry, shop for a built in wine fridge.

Most shorter models have depths of 595mm or less (minimum 560mm for shallower, integrated products) while large capacity wine fridges can have depths up to 730mm.

60cm wine fridges are available as stainless steel wine coolers or black finished doors and are installed with vibration-free, energy-efficient compressors, and rubber feet to protect wines from unwanted vibrations. We recommend keeping the wine fridge away from appliances such as washing machines.

Additional Features of 60cm Wine Fridges

A 60cm wine cooler can help showcase your collection in its most elegant form, including coloured LED lighting, reversible doors, and digital screen control panels.

    • Alarm Systems: Notify you of temperature drops or if the door is left open.
    • Noise: While some models are almost silent at 35 dB, others are less quiet at around 40 dB. If you're planning to fit your wine fridge into cabinetry much of the noise of the wine cooler will be dampened by the carpentry.
    • UV-Protected: Provide 98-99% protection from sunlight but it's still wise to position the door away from direct sunlight.
    • Elegant Lighting: Such as white, warm white, or blue in premium models and the option to switch the lights off completely.
    • Handleless Design: With push-to-open technology for a sleek, flush look in your cabinets.
    • Charcoal Filters: Installed for ageing wines and filtering odours from the air in the environment (cooking smells etc).
    • Sliding Shelves: Have easy access to your bottles.
    • Display Shelves: Crafted from pine or mahogany wood to enhance the look of wine bottles for presentation.

If you are specifically looking for an integrated wine fridge, we have them as well.

    600mm Wine Fridge FAQ's

How Do I Install a 60cm Wine Cooler?

    +

    -

600mm wine fridges are actually 595mm or 59.5cm wide to allow for the door to swing open in a 60cm wide cavity when they're built in to cabinetry. Due to their front-facing ventilation systems, they can be installed almost anywhere, provided there is approximately 2.5cm of space left around the sides. Also, make sure you have the required depth and height available for the model selected.

Does a 600mm Wine Fridge Use a Lot of Electricity?

    +

    -

Most 600mm wide wine fridges are rated either F or G energy rating. Although F or G energy ratings may not sound very efficient, the rating scale for appliances changed in 2021 when most units would have been rated A+, A or B. On average these size of wine fridge use between 120kW/annum and 180kW/annum depending on their overall size and type.

How Much Ventilation Does a 600mm Wine Cooler Need?

    +

    -

Most 600mm wine fridges are designed to be built in to cabinetry and are fitted with air vents at the front so they don't require ventilation around the sides or top. However 60cm wide models do require 1-2cm of free space at the rear of the unit in order to house the power cable.

Can You Reverse the Door of a 60cm Wine Fridge?

    +

    -

Yes, you can reverse the hinge of the door on most 600mm built in wine coolers. As a general rule these wine fridges come with doors which open from left to right (right hand side hinge). However doors on these products can be switched to left hand hinge quite easily with a few basic tools (screwdriver, spanner, spirit level). We also offer a door reversal service so doors can be switched prior to delivery to you - get in touch if you would like to add a door reversal to your order and we'll be happy to help.

How Many Wine Bottles Can a 60cm Wine Fridge Hold?

    +

    -

The vast majority of 60cm wine fridges have bottle capacities measured in 750ml Bordeaux bottles, so filling your wine fridge with larger bottles will reduce the capacity somewhat. Under counter 600mm wide wine fridges offer bottle capacities ranging from 35 to 55 Bordeaux bottles (750ml).  While tall 60cm wine fridges come with bottle capacities ranging from 120 to 220 Bordeaux bottles (750ml).
