Why Invest in a Fondis Wine Master?

Fondis products come as self-contained units or split systems. Self-contained units are easy to install and are ideal for small to medium-sized wine cellars.

Split systems, on the other hand, are better suited for larger wine cellars and provide more installation and control flexibility.

Control is a key feature of these conditioning products and they include digital thermostats and humidity controllers for precise temperature setting and humidity control - both important factors in wine aging.

Ensure your wines are optimally preserved and protected from harmful humidity changes and inconsistent temperature.

Which Type of Fondis Do I Need?

The type of product you require depends on your requirements and budget.

Here are the types of units we sell at expertwinestorage.co.uk:

    1. Through the Wall

These self-contained systems contain the condenser and evaporator in the same device like the Fondis Wine Master C25.

They are often installed through the wall (easier and don't require professional installation from an air conditioning engineer).

    2. Ducted System

These conditioners use ducting to direct hot and cold air into and out of a wine room or cellar to control humidity and temperature precisely.

This is a quiet option and offers excellent performance for wine preservation. A high-performance ducted model is the ceiling-mounted Fondis Wine ARM 15 priced at £5,499.

    3. Split Systems

The condenser and evaporator are positioned separately so the condenser can be located in a different place - reducing the noise in the wine storage area.

These units are designed to use either evaporation or compressor cooling.

    • Evaporator cooling units: Pass air through a wet piece of material, which causes the air to cool as it evaporates the moisture in the material.
    • Compressor cooling units: Use vapor compression to cool air. Refrigerant is pressurised within the compressor and then travels to the condenser. Here it is cooled and changes from a low-pressure to a high-pressure liquid. It then moves to an expansion valve where it changes to a liquid/gas mix with low pressure. Finally, it is pushed through the evaporator when the air is cooled.

    Things To Consider Before Purchasing

When deciding if a Fondis is right for your wine room or wine cellar, it is important to consider some of the following points:
    • The volume of the room to be conditioned. There are units to condition spaces from 25 to 100m3.
    • Installation constraints and space availability, such as external airflow access, which many units require.
    • The energy efficiency along with operating costs of the unit.
    • Noise levels that are generated by these units, although it is minimal at 35-40 dB.
    • Aesthetic considerations. Where is the unit placed to maximise discreetness?
    • Lighting and sunlight exposure - is the room open to natural light? If so, is it worth mitigating this storage risk?

Your wine collection deserves the best conditions to thrive and a climate-controlled space is the key to unlocking the true excellence of each bottle.

    Other Key Features

These wine conditioners have several other features:

    • Air filtration systems to remove contaminants
    • UV light filters to protect the wine from harmful light exposure
    • Low vibration compressor motors to minimise wine disturbance

Fondis wine units are a good choice for anyone looking to store and age their wine collection properly.

A true investment in the high-end feel and capability of your home or business, leading to more enjoyable moments with your guests, friends, and family.
