Temperature Zones in a Prosecco Fridge

The perfect temperature for most Prosecco is between 8°C to 10°C. A normal fridge changes temperatures quickly and has low humidity.

In contrast, a Prosecco fridge, changes and maintains temperatures while holding a higher level of consistent humidity. All of our Prosecco fridges offer stable temperature zones of 8°C to 10°C, with the temperature set via a digital display.

    Prosecco Fridges Offer Optimal Storage

A Prosecco fridge worth its salt is fitted with shelving to lie the Prosecco bottles down flat or in a display position. Usually, traditional wine fridges hold wine bottles from neck to bottom in a front-to-back orientation.

However, due to their larger size of Prosecco bottles, the shelves are positioned to hold the bottles horizontally from one side of the fridge to the other.

Prosecco bottles are a larger size and depth than regular wine bottles, such as Bordeaux - so it's far more space efficient to hold the bottles horizontally, plus this allows the Champagne bottles to be displayed with their labels facing outwards.

As a result the shelves used in Prosecco fridges often have wider slats which let the Prosecco bottles sit deeper in the shelf, although this is not the case for all models.

You might also consider a large wine fridge, if you have a large collection of Prosecco to store.

    Prosecco Fridges FAQ's

Do Prosecco Fridges Have Display Shelves?

    +

    -

Yes, many Prosecco fridges are available with display shelves as standard.

Many luxury models offer a full range of display shelves so your whole collection is presented beautifully.

If you're looking for a Prosecco fridge for a commercial setting, some models have shelves that hold the bottles on the side. This makes access easier and maximises bottle capacity.

How Many Prosecco Bottles Fit in a Prosecco Fridge?

    +

    -

The bottle capacity of a Prosecco fridge is always issued in the number of Bordeaux bottles, so always consider the actual capacity of the advertised product with a 25-30% reduction in capacity from the number stated. For example, a 100-bottle wine fridge will likely store 70-75 Prosecc bottles as they are 20-30% larger in size than a Bordeaux bottle.

Do I Need a Single or Dual Zone Temperature Prosecco Fridge?

    +

    -

Are you using your Prosecco fridge for serving? If so we recommend a single zone temperature model. Storing Prosecco for the long term? Then having the ability to serve Prosecco at the desired temperature quickly is important, we would suggest a dual zone temperature product if this is the case. Then one zone can be used for long term storage nd one can be used for short term use.

How Do You Install a Prosecco Fridge?

    +

    -

Many Prosecco fridges can be installed in built in locations like cupboards or cabinets and are fitted with air vent grills at the bottom so air to ventilate the system.

Front ventilation means that a Prosecco Fridge can be built into cabinetry and only requires approximately 1-2cm gap on the hinge side of the door for it to swing open.
